Terms and conditions
The terms for HostDingo services, provided by GOLANMEDIA LTD.
Last updated: 10 October 2026
1. About us
HostDingo is a trading name of GOLANMEDIA LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 15494556, registered office Office 11, 1 Greenfield Crescent, Edgbaston Village, Birmingham, B15 3BE. Email support@hostdingo.co.uk.
2. Your order
You buy through our shop at cp.hostdingo.co.uk. Your contract with us starts when we confirm your order by email. You must be 18 or over and give us accurate contact details, and keep them up to date.
3. Prices and payment
- All prices are in pounds sterling and are the full price you pay. We are not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added.
- You can pay monthly or yearly. Yearly plans cost the same as 10 months.
- Payments are taken by card or wallet through Stripe. Plans renew automatically at the end of each month or year unless you cancel.
- If a payment fails we will email you. If it is still unpaid 14 days after the due date we may suspend the service until it is paid.
4. Prices and renewals
The prices on our website and in our shop are our current normal prices for each plan, unless they are clearly marked as a promotion. We don't use a low introductory price for hosting or email plans that then rises automatically when you renew. When your plan renews, it renews at that plan's normal price.
We may change our prices from time to time, for example if our suppliers' prices, our running costs, taxes or the services included in a plan change. If a price change affects a plan you already have, we will email you before the new price applies, giving you at least the notice set out in section 16, and you can cancel before it applies. If you move to a different plan, that plan's current price applies.
If we offer a promotional price or discount, we will say how long it lasts and what the normal price will be afterwards. When the promotion ends, your plan renews at its normal price.
Domain prices include fees set by the registries. If a registry raises its price we may pass on that increase, and we will tell you at least 30 days before your renewal. A free domain included with a plan is free for the first year only; after that it renews at our normal price for that domain.
5. 30-day money-back guarantee
If you cancel a hosting, email, cloud server or care plan within 30 days of your first order, we will refund what you paid for it in full. Ask by emailing accounts@hostdingo.co.uk. This does not cover domain names, because once a domain is registered the registry fee can't be recovered, or website design work already done. This guarantee is in addition to your legal rights as a consumer, including your 14-day right to cancel.
6. Cancelling
You can cancel any time from your control panel or by emailing us. There are no contracts or cancellation fees. Your service runs until the end of the period you have paid for and then stops. After the first 30 days we don't refund part-used months or years unless the law requires it. Please download a copy of your website and email before your service ends: we delete them within 30 days afterwards.
7. Free migration
When you join, we will move one website and its email and database per plan from your old host for free. We usually finish within 48 hours of getting the access we need. Your old site stays live until we switch over. We can't move sites from hosts that block access, or fix problems that already existed on the old site, but we will tell you if that happens.
8. Support
We answer support tickets and emails Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm UK time, and aims to reply within 4 hours during those hours. Messages sent outside those hours are answered when we next open. Our servers are monitored around the clock.
9. Backups
We take daily backups and keep them for 30 days. We will always try to restore your site if something goes wrong, but backups are not guaranteed, so please keep your own copy of anything important.
10. Using our services fairly
You must not use our services for anything illegal or harmful, including spam, malware, phishing, copyright infringement, or content that harms children. You must not use more than your plan's resources in a way that affects other customers. "Unlimited" storage and mailboxes on Alpha are for normal business websites and email, not for file storage or backups of other systems. If you break these rules we may suspend the service, and we will tell you why. In serious cases we may suspend first and contact you straight after.
11. Your content and your customers' data
Your website and email content belong to you. You are responsible for it and for following the law, including data protection law, for any personal data you collect through your website. We process that data only to provide your hosting, keep it secure and confidential, use UK data centres, and delete it when your service ends. This section is our data processing agreement with you.
12. Domain names
Domains are registered in your name (or your business's name). You must follow the rules of the registry for your domain, for example Nominet for .uk domains. Domains you don't renew may expire and be lost. You can transfer your domain away from us at any time.
13. Website design
Website packages have a one-off build fee and a monthly fee for hosting, email and care. We agree the content and design with you before we build. When the build fee is paid, the finished website is yours. The monthly fee starts when your site goes live, has no minimum term and can be cancelled at any time.
14. Care plans
Care plans are for WordPress websites hosted with HostDingo. Small edits are time-limited each month as shown on the plan; unused time does not roll over.
15. Our responsibility to you
We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. We aim for very high uptime but can't promise a service that is never interrupted, for example during essential maintenance or attacks we can't reasonably prevent. If you are a business customer, our total liability to you in any year is limited to what you paid us in that year, and we are not liable for lost profits, business or data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change affects you, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then.
17. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
